Digital Stuffing

Being a techy, you always have what normal people call “fancy gear”. Due to the overabundance of features on these devices they tend to go wrong somewhere along the line.

About this specific problem.
Recently I added a few gigabytes of music to the storage card on my HTC Touch HD. Initially it worked out quite nicely, everything was added to the library as expected. The trouble actually started when I was cleaning out the data on the device, deleting folders I don’t use anymore and of course some of the music. I use a third party file explorer, seeing the standard Winmo file explorer is crap in my opinion.

So I deleted folders … When returning to the music library, everything remained … normal?

As it turned out the explorer kept a recycle bin in which all deleted files remain, which also meant they were being picked up by the music player as being “on disk”.
Emptying this bin actually removes everything and should be cleared from your library as well.

Still, if any problems do occur you can try the following actions (as found on this link)

  1. Turn off your TouchFlo 3D environment. (Settings > Today > Items tab > uncheck TouchFlo)
  2. Use an Explorer (I found being connected to a non-mobile OS to be easier) and navigate to \Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng
  3. Remove the contents of that folder, or keep the playlists folder if you prefer
  4. Restart TouchFlo. (Settings > Today > Items tab > check TouchFlo)

I hope this is any help…

is mando’a for awsome helmet/bucket… which it is.

Last weekend the helmetkit for my ep III clone arrived (and my friend’s ep II kit). These buckets are made of fiberglass so we need to handle them with some care initially.

the inside has been sanded and given a first coat of black paint. Paint to cover up the fiberglass fibers so they don’t go sticking into your face, and black paint for internal luminocity. Eyes are more easily adjusted when the inside is black. In addition I had to fill up a few irregularities and dents.

Hey people,

recently I’ve decided to move my web-activities to a new hosting company called Sohosted.

The reason for this is the support for the Microsoft .net Framework 3.5. This allows me to “play around” with ASP.net and Silverlight.

Now, for this new blog.
I plan to add things about coding and technology as I come to it. This is also going to serve as a kind of “did you remember why you did this”- or “didn’t you solve this before”-database for myself and of course for people who run into the same problems as I do. Lots of things can be solved by using Google, but it’s still useful to have recurring items handy on one single location.

Next to techy stuff (yes I’m kind of a geek, ask the people around me) I’ll see about posting some other items as well, but I don’t know what yet :D

Here I go…
